What Is Interview Coder?

Interview Coder is a specialized AI-powered desktop application designed to provide real-time assistance during technical coding interviews and online assessments (OAs). Unlike browser-based tools, it runs as a standalone program using low-level graphics hooks (DirectX on Windows, Metal on macOS) to create an invisible "heads-up display" that is only visible to the user.

The tool uses continuous Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to "read" coding problems directly from the screen and processes interviewer audio via virtual drivers to understand verbal instructions. This allows it to generate optimized code solutions, complexity analyses, and debugging hints in real-time, functioning essentially as a digital teleprompter for software engineers.
